	Mary & John I honestly never thought that I would find love on a website. I was urged by several friends to sign up on EG for the longest time but I was very skeptical. After many failed blind dates set up by my mom's match making friends (so...my big fat greek wedding) I decided to become and EG member and just go for it. I met a couple of people that were very nice but there really was no connection. For a couple of months I kept seeing the same faces until one day in February a new face came up in my search. I read John's profile and was very interested in finding out more about him so I sent him a quick email and hoped that he would respond. He did responded the next day and we exchanged a few emails telling each other about our lives, families and interests. We found that we had a lot in common...I found out that his father is from the same village as my grandmother and were practically neighbors! 	Bri & Marina First, I never thought I would take the time to write about my love success, much less find love on the internet. we have all heard those terrible net stories. But the other side of coin is that strong possibility of finding the right one. Well, I did. I wanted to take a moment and THANK ELIGIBLE GREEKS for this. I lived in Florida and she in NYC. Naturally i was very nervous. We met on Broadway as our first date to see the show, "Mama Mia". I stood outside waiting...and waiting. Show started at 8pm. It was 8:05. I went inside to watch the show and felt my doubts. 10 minutes later, she arrived in the darkness to take her seat, but she was so radiant with beauty that it was like the whole theater lit up and the spotlights focued on her. From that one moment, I KNEW she was going to be my bride. We married one year later after she moved down to Florida with me. we are now expecting our first child expected due date of December 25, 2007. WHAT A PERFECT CHRISTMAS GIFT!! 	Adrienne & Mike When it came to internet-based dating websites, I was fairly skeptical what would come out of such an endeavor. Theoretically, yes, I posted a profile to legitimately find someone who would value me as a person and eventually to pursue a relationship with a future. I quickly realized that half the battle is obtaining a membership to message someone directly or else I would be "that guy who sends flirts." I had stumbled upon various profiles but Adrienne's was the most intriguing; she was sweet, beautiful, and artistically inclined. Her value of balancing a career with a family was important to her. It turns out we both grew up several miles from each other but our paths never crossed except through EG. After looking at her profile, Adrienne decided to send me a flirt in which I promptly responded with a "real" message. We met at the mall about 1 month after writing emails and we were immediately attracted to each other. I think we were both hesitant to jump into anything too serious, both being in graduate school but this was such an amazing and rewarding experience. Everything has been like a dream ever since, we are so in love with each other. Adrienne plans to graduate in 2009 and I, in 2010 and we will get married Fall 2009. 	Maria & Demitrios It's funny how things can happen in life sometimes. I found out about this site form a friend and even if I didn't believe in these kinds of relations (typical Greek i guess..!!) I thought it would be a pleasant way of killing some time. After a couple of months and just before I was ready to quit, I saw that sweet face!!! My attitude suddenly changed. I started flirting and messaging her but it seems that she was one of the most wanted people on this site, so I got no response. That made me even more determined to meeet her. So one day I got a mail from her. I still remember how happy that made me. The following few months we both spend almost 3 lifetimes chating on line. In the end, to my surprise, she took the decision to come and visit me here in Athens. The minutes I was waiting in the aiport were centuries for me and made me even more nervous than I already was. Where was all that macho attitude I've learned to have in these situations?!!?!?! They say it takes a second to realize the most important things in life. I say even less, cause the glance she gave me when she finally appeared, lasted less than a second but it was enough to made me realize that she was the ONE. It took me a few minutes to find back my self (im still sure she must had thought i was the stupiest man on earth!!!)....... To make the long story short ,this summer she came to Greece for the third time in the last 7 months. We had great time. I know it took me the hard way to know but now I'm 100% sure that she is the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.... 	Yiota & Milto Hi everyone! My name is Yiota and I have met the man of my dreams. His name is Milto and he is my best friend, my roomate, my lover and recently my fiancee...:) We met through this wonderful website last june and hit it of right away. 6 months later we moved in together and now we are making plans for the wedding. 	Struck By Heaven Well it was all new to me but well worth every second i was here.... We met just b4 Christmas and it started from there.1 flirt lead to another and hey…we started to exchange messages and well all i can say is that we really seemed to click. 	Once In A Lifetime I was fed up looking around for the right person for me. The ones I had met were either fake or...not for me. And I mean in reality! I thought the FINAL solution would be to look in the Internet, and even this was proposed by a collegue of mine. Just imagine, living in a huge city, being ALONE. Hundreds passing by you but not for you. I had no trust but tried. Having no idea about such procedures or sites, my search engine came with a result of your site. To be frank I was not willing at all to try it but then I thought I had nothing to lose. Then, your site was on, all time I spent on my computer. Then, suddenly, on one of your new members ads, I saw...her. That was it. I was attracted by her eyes, a contract of beauty but above all, honesty. I immediately signed up to your service to find out, to my horror that, that member was inactive for "more than 30 days". I was very disappointed. I had sent her e-mails and waited for months. Each day waiting for a reply was a nightmare. Then she replied. And that was it. The beginning and the end at the same time. Key and keyhole. We chatted for about 4 months since she was living in Russia. About everything, just to find out that we shared exactly same interests, needs, ethics, lifestyle, me from Greece, her from Russia. We became...friends, literally. We both felt we were made for each other. We discussed about everything and i even kept her company while she was working, through the net. She was my alter ego, my other half, like seeing me, in the female form. At the airport I just said "finally", and we kissed and hugged for hours, there, at Moscow, as if we were always together. As if I was on a business trip and just returned to meet my beloved. Our first date came next, strange, no need for a date in reality. We were just two in one, hugging, walking on streets, holding hands. Then, here we are, two hearts beating liking one, promiced eternity to eachother already. We are now in Greece, just returned from the islands. Soon, she will be living with me, forever. I am already learning Russian and her Greek is already....great! What can I say to those who at the moment are alone, other than...."never give up" (her motto on your site). She is right. Please, never give up. Try and try if you have to. Look in the eyes. 	Michelle & Spyridon Sometime in 2003, I placed a profile on EligibleGreeks.com, from a Greek friend's urging. I protested and argued that I wasn't Greek and that I'd never get a date because of this. He persuaded me and said....."What do you have to lose?" I reluctantly agreed and posted a very bland profile. I forgot that I had posted a profile on EligibleGreeks.com, because just as I had suspected, no instant messages, no dates. Two years later..........I got an e mail from SpyrosinKentucky. I had taken a bit of a break from dating for a few months, and surprised my friends when I told them that I was going on a date with a guy who was really from Greece. Because neither of us had posted photos, we had very vauge ideas what the other looked like. I had ran late for our date that evening, and the only thing that was open for dinner past 10 pm in northern Kentucky was a place called Bar Louie that overlooked the Ohio river. Not planned, but, not bad after all, rather romantic! Spyros and I chatted well until after midnight, and ironically, I found that on his profile, the only thing that he asked for was a girl who was fluent in Greek, which I knew “giasou”, and that was it!! But, somehow, I came up as a 100% match for him...LOL!!! Well, even though I lacked communication preferences, I must have made a good impression because the next day, I was called for another date!! For the first time in my entire adult life I had searched for "the one" until one day I just gave up and I said a prayer to God and told him that my life was in his hands and then I joined this site by chance while searching for Greek music,I though why not I'll just do this for fun and I made a few friends here but I never felt like I could fall in love with them...one day I noticed this one guy being so persistent....telling me to email him but I couldn't because I was not a member and finally he messaged me and gave me his email and we hit it of from there....we have so much in common that we instantly fell in love with each other..we had already liked what we saw in each others profile and it was even better when we saw each other on the wbcam. He lives in Sydney, Australia and I live in Corpus Christi, Texas and in spite of the distance between us we still love each other very much and we plan to have a wonderful future together for the rest of our lives. We both would love to marry someday and we could blend the family that we already have and just become one big happy family. I have to thank God for coming upon this site and for meeting this wonderful beautiful man and Im not even Greek! He said he was looking for a nice Greek woman but instead he met a Latin American and he does not like America or anything American at all... until he met me! We speak daily on the computer and we talk for long hours on the phone so we have gotten to really know each other and we know what to expect from one another....its a beautiful beginning and we pray for our future and that we will be able to see each other soon...I dont have a job right now and I am raising four children on my own so it will be somewhat difficult for me to buy a ticket to Sydney to go visit him...tooo expensive but I will find a way if it takes me forever to get to him he's my world now I couldnt make it ithout him..he rescued me and I rescued him from our darkest point in our lives so we have to find a way to be able to see each other in person...we have cried on the phone together about this because it is killing us to be so far apart....but we know that even with the distance between us we feel so close in mind,heart & spirit that is what is keeping us hopeful and patient...it will happen soon because we can both feel this but we must be patient.
