From the first day I started talking to Kate I felt a connection. She was charming, funny, sincere and beautiful. She knew what she wanted out of life and I felt like we were on the same page. I was so excited to meet Kate I asked her to go to a wedding with me for our first date. I thought that it would be special and fun but one could guess, the answer was no. I (Kate) was honored with the invite but thought a first blind date at a wedding would be a little much (especially 3hrs away from home). We quickly made another date and Nick was so gracious to drive all the way to Ellington CT for only a 2hr dinners date. He had to drive home to NY for an overnight shift. I thought that was so sweet! He welcomed me with a gorgeous bouquet of red roses. At that point I was already into him. The next day Nick yet again the romantic called me to say he had a great time and we couldn’t wait to see each other again. However, there was one little problem, we lived so far away from each other.
Pretty much for all of the weekends from then on Nick would drive to CT to see me even for a few hours. I started to feel that this might be the guy at that point. I remember that my step-father, Bill said that this guy must really be into me because he wouldn’t even drive that far to see J-Lo.
We started falling in love with each other by the second month of spending much time together. We were shocked as to how quickly all of this was happening but continued to follow our hearts. By the third month we wanted to move in together. I have such a huge family in CT and didn’t want to leave the area. Nick decided that he would make the big move and change his living situation and job, leave his friends and family behind to be with me. Wow! We went from looking to possibly rent a place to buying a house together in the fifth month of dating. A lot of people on the outside were saying that maybe this was too quick but we both knew inside that this was the right move for us. Not looking back we brought a newly born puppy into the household. Did I mention I already had 3 cats? The true test was to see how Nick got along with my cats. They even go to him now more than me. I guess we made the right move then huh?
We started adjusting to living together and working as a couple to fix up the house. I was trying to finish up my Master’s program and Nick was so wonderful because he supported me fully, not only financially but emotionally as well. I treasure that! Nick continues to be behind my every move, supporting me through starting my own private practice providing therapy to people who have disabilities.
Months went by and I (Nick) knew Kate was the one for me and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. Soon after we moved in together I started planning how I was going to propose. I came home for lunch one day and surprised her with a bouquet of flowers. A few days later (November 7, 2003 - 8 months of dating) I took Kate out to her favorite restaurant for a nice quiet dinner. I knew this was the night. While driving home with a huge full moon it was setting a nice mood. I wanted to start a fire in the family room but I got so excited I got down on my knee and asked Kate if she would take my hand in marriage right there and then. Of course she accepted and we took a million pictures with our new digital camera.
We started planning our wedding with complete family and friends support and we recently decided on the date of August 22nd, 2004, a year and a half from when we met. We are so excited about committing to marriage and bringing children into the world. Passing down our Greek culture is very important to the both of us and we wanted to send a big thank you to EligibleGreeks.com for being the bridge that brought us together for life!

Hi!
We are Kate & Nick who are featured on your website already. We wanted to update you and let you know we now have a beautiful son, Elias, who is 16mths. He is the light of our lives! We are also excited to say we are expecting our 2nd baby on May5th!
We wanted to let you know that if it wasn't for your site that we would never have such a great and growing family together! Thanks Again
