Vancouver had some awesome Greek events taking place in celebration of Greek Day on Broadway this summer.
Crowds flocked to West Broadway in Vancouver as visitors experienced a taste of Greece at the annual festival. There was everything from food to some great, live Greek music, performances of varying kinds and all sorts of Greek products on offer as well.
There were tens of thousands of people who came to join in the festivities again for the best in Greek culture. The tastiest Greek dishes were available including our old favorites like souvlaki, spanakopita, and baklava. A wide variety of Greek beer was enjoyed by visitors in need of refreshment.
The adults were quite happy to walk around and see all that the festival had to offer, but the kids were also spoilt with games galore which were decorated in the traditional blue and white colors of our Greek flag.
The vendors had their Greek flags on display, which could be seen throughout West Broadway from Macdonald to Blenheim streets.
The festival was a roaring success and thoroughly enjoyed by Greek-Canadians and other locals who joined the crowds of visitors.
