Writing a 1500 word essay on who I am to meet someone, so here it goes....

I grew up in Baltimore and spent time in New Jersey. My degree is in Architecture but I have a great career in construction. There is nothing more important to me than my family and close friends. I love going to Greece on vacation but I want to see as much of the world as possible. I have been all over the United States, except on the east coast south of Williamsburg, couldn't tell you why!! While I prefer to meet people in a more organic way, with the current global situation, it seems to have added another caveat in the dating scene. So I thought I would give this a try. I am looking for someone who is fun, fair and who when I am around them, they feel like home. Like a friendship on fire. Someone who can carry a spirited conversation, intelligent loyal and honest. Someone who challenges me to be better, and someone who stays faithful and committed to us. A partner who doesn't see our differences as obstacles but ways we each can grow. Entertaining in my home with people I care about is one of my favorite things to do. I love cooking and baking. I like to be on the beach but being near the water will do. I really like doing keeps me grounded especially in my profession!! There is more to share that exceeds the word limit. Two words that are perfectly harmless are "what" and "if", but put them together side by side, have the ability to haunt you forever. So I look forward to seeing how we click on this platform so we can meet in person.

Describe the perfect evening.
It's hard to define the perfect evening. For me, I can spend the evening doing just about anything with people I care about or with someone over a cocktail. Either way, there should be great food, amazing conversation and lots of laughs.
Describe your perfect weekend.
My perfect weekend.....would be a quick trip somewhere. Cooking a great meal and having friends over to enjoy it.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
I am not sure about love....connection, yes. I feel when you meet someone and you don't feel anxious , there are no fireworks or birds singing but instead, you feel at ease, as if you already know them....that's the connection.
What is the purpose of marriage?
While marriage isn't an absolute for me, I believe that marriage is the beginning of familiy. It is a spiritual and emotional union. I do, however, feel that when the bond is strong, gold bands and bath towels won't make the difference. To me, that is the most important thing., marriage is the bonus.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
One thing I've learned is not to hold past growing pains toward someone who had nothing to do with it. I have also learned that life is so short, spend your time with people who value you as you do them. And most, things are really not that complicated. It is us who make things far more complex than it has to be. I've learned that I may not be able to help my partner through everything but I can care about them through everything.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Time, effort and attention.
What turns you off?
Someone who is not a participant in their life. Someone who sits back and waits for things to happen. Bad drivers.
What turns you on?
Endless conversations, nights you never want to end...and much more.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
Waking up with someone who is equally as grateful to be there as I am.
