I am a Greek-American Ikariotissa NYer based in both the States (NY) and Greece. I have grown kids -- nice ones, too -- and am at a new starting point: free, myself, open and wanting to find a great and caring companion to share the experience of life with. I am an excellent cook and run a small culinary travel company. I like beauty, harmony, interesting minds, good conversation, red wine, great food, the sea and swimming all year, sailing, gardening, walking, nature and the mysteries of life. I am an avid and adventurous traveler and love a good book. I work out regularly and like my Mediterranean curves! Intelligence outshines looks for me, but I like my man to take care of himself, too! It's a show of self-love and self-respect.

To understand the workings of the human soul love all humanity despite our faults!
What is the purpose of marriage?
Ideally, a partnership of body, mind and soul , to share life's joys and sorrows with support for each other, and to raise more good people for the world. Doesn't always work that way though!
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
To accept others without judgement and to lend a helping hand when needed.
What do your friends like about you most?
Dinner at my place! My giving nature and good humor!
What do your friends tease you about the most?
Probably my Ikarian sense of time.
What gets on your nerves?
Shouters! Obnoxious, inconsiderate, narcissistic people who lack the mechanism for seeing anyone else is top of the list of things that get on my nerves
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Communication at every level (mental, emotional, physical).
What's the best age to get married?
Only you know that!
What turns you off?
Liars, ingrates, racists, bullies, narcissists, and other close-minded, negative people ruled by fear who are unwilling or unable to step outside of themselves for a second! Hmmm, does that sound harsh?!
What turns you on?
Someone who understands NOW! Open-minded, accepting, honest people who have the courage to live and think about the big questions , have curious minds, and love life in all its absurdity
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
Maybe bouncing a grandkid on my knee! But also spending even more time on Ikaria, traveling and relaxing more, working less :) But I do love my work and have fun doing it.
