Με Φιλότιμο is the way I try to live my life. Φιλότιμο is a part of our Greek identity and I am proud to be Greek. I am an honest, (I'm told) too honest, too loyal (to a fault), too caring, and (allegedly ;) ) an intelligent man. I always try to play fair, to trust, to be honorable. When I give advice to someone it’s what’s good for them even if it hurts me. (Maybe it’s old fashioned but it’s so I can sleep at night). I work in Boston. I am of Greek descent. I was born in New Zealand (A Greek Kiwi) and came to the U.S. as a teenager. I love to travel to Greece as often as possible. I would like to live in Greece at some point and possibly do some traveling from there, that’s something that should be discussed with my future better half I reckon. I would like to meet an honest, caring, intelligent person, with both feet planted firmly on the ground. Beautiful to me (it’s said that “one man’s food is another man’s poison”) and has a kind, patient, and understanding heart. She doesn't play games, or is (too) crazy. (It's been pointed out, that unbeknownst to me, I'm actually attracted to crazy women :) ) Key is intelligent conversation to understand each other, and have lots of laughs. It’s not just about me. What about it? I find it interesting that we use financial planners to help us manage our money properly and we pay them we’re told we should have a 6 month cushion in case of emergencies and the attitude we the public have when people are in financial difficulty is they should have planned better and not receive any help. Yet large corporations do not pay taxes nor spend money on financial planners only accountants so as not to pay taxes and are bailed out by the government (our money) to whom they don’t pay taxes. Did I mention they don’t pay taxes because the loopholes were created for just that purpose. Government support is, or so I’m told by conservatives only happens in “Commi” countries. And yet, Corporations use government bailouts as their cushion no financial planners needed. What a scam!

A forum? Healthcare should be free for everyone. Paid through our taxes. If someone actually thinks through the whole scenario without idiots piping in, they will see how it’s paid and costs us less. If someone wants more service for their healthcare they can pay for a higher level of it. The elderly shouldn't have to pay health insurance or taxes. :P. There are no free rides in this world unless you’re wealthy. Oh and the trickle down economics theory is just that…. a theory. Doesn't work unless you fantasize that it does. That’s what we always hear, fantasy when it come to that. My son brought this to my attention, he said isn't it interesting that it's popular and smart to be wealthy and receive government subsidies or government handouts then you're a smart businessman, but if you're poor (and you need it) and get it, you are looked down upon, or you're considered a slacker, which isn't true. Marketing changes the sheep's opinions.

Yes. There is also love that you don't realize it has happened to you. Sometimes we don't see it right in front of us. (Guys are blind this way, or dense ;) ).... I guess that it's still up for debate. :)

As many as God gives us the joy to have. Did I mention I love the names Danae, Anastasia, and Alexandros. :)

To fly. So people can see what's up. Lol. :P

To Hope! It's more important than we realize. To Hope! I was just looking at someone’s profile and she reminded me of something a very wise person told me. To never go to bed angry at each other. (Thanks BlueSky :) )
What do your friends like about you most?
My honesty, my Loyalty, mySsincerity. That I care about them and love them. I hug them and kiss them in hopes that it makes them uncomfortable, but really it's because I love them :) Oh! And that I can be silly and goofy.
What do your friends tease you about the most?
I like to eat my pizza or almost anything for that matter with a knife and fork. (I think that's a Kiwi thing). That I know table manners and the proper etiquette. Being late, sometimes I act like a confused professor. Bloody hopeless. LOL... Oh yeah and to be chasing my kids to do their homework over the phone while I'm at work. :)
What gets on your nerves?
Injustice, people preying on or BULLYING (OUTRAGED!!) others. Gossip!!! Bad Bloody Drivers! Automatic toilet flushers :) and Although texting and emails can be fun, one can lose a lot in translation because they are impersonal. The personal factor is eliminated so something serious can be taken lightly & vis a versa. This can be bloody devastating to a relationship. So texting too... Well too much texting, but as I said 12 pages ago it's impersonal!
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Honesty, Trust, Love, Mutual Admiration, Loyalty, Consideration, and I'd be a liar if I didn't say sex.
What's the best age to get married?
Honestly, girls about 27 and up. Guys 35 maybe 37 and up. Depends on their maturity. Most women mature earlier and know what they want. Guys want to look around. In the end it's having things in common, the same goals, wants, and needs. This is more prominent in guys that are about 4-12 more years older than the woman I reckon.
What turns you off?
Gossip!!! Αχαριστία. Lies! Να κοροϊδεύει ο ένας τον άλλο. Being taken for granted. Being used. Games. Did I say Αχαριστία!!?

What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
I've spent my life looking forward to things that I may or will do. (I still do this because I have hope). Although very hard to do, I will try to follow MLK's suggestion, to take one step at a time and just have faith that it will happen. I would spend my time with my wife, or significant other, (and family if possible) in Greece for a part of the year maybe 6 months, and then somewhere else warm (maybe travel around Greece & Europe, Bali, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand or maybe closer to home I reckon. Although, that’s up for discussion, considering that my significant other would be part of the decision making. Just being together enjoying each other's company would make me happy.
