Long walks on the beach might be cliche, but are still so beautiful...

I've hiked through the Andes, climbed pyramids, spotted elusive rhinos, and swam blissfully in the clear waters of the Aegean. I love exploring cultures of near and far. I like a balance of deep and meaningful conversations, and those that stretch from dusk ‘till dawn amidst the trees and stars, or perhaps by candlelight. My work as a psychologist who works in schools allows me to combine two priorities/interests. The first is working directly with children who are struggling, by listening to them and helping them gain strength to find their way. The second is working in education, which is the cornerstone of all social change. It is through education that youth can improve their futures. I feel privileged to play a small part in shaping tomorrow’s future. Seriousness aside, a big perk of working in school is having summers off! Summers are my time to play, unwind, and see the world. Aside from traveling, I thoroughly enjoy hosting friends and family; attending theater or outdoor concerts; spending the day outside hiking, biking, kayaking or picnicking; and going swing dancing or singing along to piano tunes. I am looking for someone who has depth of character, who is sophisticated yet practical; reflective yet spirited; and driven but mindful. I want to develop a meaningful partnership that is genuinely collaborative and cohesive. If this sounds like you, send me a message! Even if it’s just to say ‘Hi’.

Describe the perfect evening.
Involves crisp mountain air and a sky full of stars; sipping whiskey and inanely philosophizing with friends over a home cooked dinner; chatting excitedly on the stroll home from a great show/movie; or relaxing with a page-turning book.
Describe your perfect weekend.
Starts with going for a very long hike, bike ride, or in the summers a swim. From there we could watch cinematic masterpieces, debate all the ways to fix the problems of the world, enjoy an outdoor concert or a nice dinner.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
Teleportation would be mighty handy in shortening the long waits at airports... Definitely would have made getting to Tahiti easier!
What do your friends like about you most?
They say I’m an effortless hostess who loves to feed them. Also that I have too much energy for my own good. I try my best to make loved ones feel cared for and accepted even in the midst of a lively debate.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Communication. Effective, reflective communication.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
Continuing my long-held tradition of seeing the world, and I hope to be spending time with a person I like and love as we share day to day joys and experiences.
